| I homeschool my children and have for many years. My oldest is now in the Army and I had homeschooled since he was in 1st grade. My youngest is 12 and we are reading a book on the book of Daniel. The book is called "the Smart Guide to the Bible series". We are at Daniel 4:15-17. 17 ‘ This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’ This is Nebuchadnezzar telling about a dream he had after he found God. Well, to my point. 17 says "That the Most High rulers in the kingdom of men," mens God places rulers over the earth (like kings, presidents, etc.) Because he is the ultimate ruler over everything and everyone on earth. God gives them (the rulers) the power of control over His people. God decides who will be in power. God sets over them (the people) the lowest of men. God sometimes gives us idiots and fools to rule over us. When we complain about our leaders we should remember tat God give us what he feels we deserve. They are a reflection of our relationship with him. god rules nations and chooses their leaders. Sometimes he chooses weak leaders to teach us to follow him. We just found this interesting enough to share with others. Just food for thught! |
